Time flies when you’re having fun, and so it’s time to apply the latest monthly Microsoft Security Patches to your desktops! The desktops should already have their patches downloaded and applied over the last few days. Please remember to shutdown/restart your PC when you leave the office this week in order for all patches to be applied.
For those unsure on how to update: allow yourself at least 10 – 15 minutes to fully shutdown and restart your system. This ensures patches are applied, this can also address (and solve) some problems you may be having with your system. You can also manually check by following steps that can be found here.
Windows 10 Latest Version: We are eagerly awaiting the next Windows 10 update, and will keep you all in the loop once this is released. In the meantime, if you are interested in any further security information for your Windows 10 devices, take a look through this link.
For our Apple users, October 30 brought the latest update to your OS Mojave operating system for your Mac (10.14.01). This update brings Group FaceTime, which means you can conference call with up to 32 participants on Macs, or devices running iOS 12 (your iPads or iPhones). There are also plenty more emoji to express yourselves with, and bug fixes and improvements to help your computers run smoothly. Unsure how to update? Have a look here.
It’s likely you have already been prompted to update your iPhone or iPad to the latest version of iOS 12 (12.1), which include the same updates as the latest Mojave update - see above. An important feature introduced, if you haven’t noticed, is that older iPhone versions are now between 40-70% faster thanks to iOS 12! To find out how to update, follow this link.
All other Apple update information can be found here.
